Whey Protein or Muscle Milk ?

I've been running for past 35 years now and got into half and full marathons for about 6 years now. I've not taken any food supplement so far but now planning to try a protein supplement. This will allow me to build lean muscle and also help in better and quicker recovery after a workout.

There are plenty of choices in the market but the two main ones I'm considering are: 100% Whey protein and Muscle Milk. There are several articles highlighting the difference between the two:

I think I'll go for Whey Protein because:
  1. Easier to digest
  2. Low calories, carbohydrates, saturated fat per serving
  3. More grams of protein per serving
  4. Vanilla flavor works for me
  5. Don't need to build muscle mass, prefer lean muscle
  6. Prefer to have a meal instead of a substitute
Cons
  1. Has more sodium so will have to adjust my diet accordingly
  2. Clump/clot in milk or water, needs more dissolving time
What do you use for building lean muscle and post-workout recovery ?
